Kirloskar Group is amongst India's largest engineering conglomerates. The Group was established in the year 1888, by Late Shri Laxmanrao Kirloskar, and it achieved its highest growth rates in Indian industry under the leadership of Late Shri Shantanurao Laxmanrao Kirloskar. Building on its core engineering strength, the group’s scope of operations spans a gamut of industrial equipment. From a wide range of eco-friendly diesel engines, silent generating sets, pumps and farm mechanization equipment to name a few. To put Mr. Shantanurao Kirloskar’s principles into practice, Kirloskar Institute of Advanced Management Studies (KIAMS) was conceived in 1991 in Harihar, Karnataka as a training institute and a knowledge hub where Kirloskar Group managers imparted and acquired innovative management lessons to keep up with the latest management trends. In 1995, the training institute extended its welcome to management aspirants from all over the country with the introduction of AICTE Affiliated PGDM Program. Encouraged by the success of its alumni in the industry, KIAMS opened its second campus in Pune in 2010. Both campuses are approved by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.

Being promoted by the Kirloskar Group and many other companies, owing to its large pool of illustrious alumni, KIAMS Harihar, the flagship institute, dedicated itself to the task of Management Development leading to managerial and organisational excellence. The KIAMS Harihar family, students as well as the faculty members, work tirelessly to ensure that the students are exposed to holistic learning and get the opportunity to interact with experts and experienced executives of Kirloskar Group of Companies as well as other reputed companies.

Our Undergraduate programs duly affiliated to Davangere University and aligned with the National Education Policy-2020 ensure a team-focused learning environment to our students, conducive to mastering their concepts and amplifying their skills.
